Make a new page and button/tab in Blogger.com
Blogger is not same with WordPress, where WordPress give you a service to make a new page in a blog. If you want to make a new page (for the example, try to click one of the buttons below the header of this blog), here are the steps to make a new page or is known as posting page.
- First, if you haven’t add a label to your posting, click Posting > Edit Posts. You’ll see your posting list. Check in the box of each postings you want to add new labels.
- Now, look at the box above the postings list (there’s written “Label Actions…”) ,click the dropdown arrow, and choose “New Label..” if you want to add a new label name. If you want to add an existing label, just click at the name of that label. For the new label, enter the name of the label in the new window and click OK. You will see a same label name next to each postings name you’ve checked. Note: the postings you want to add to a same page must have the same label names. Save it.
- Now go to Layout > Add a Page Element > HTML/Java Script. Now enter the code to make a new page with the format: <a href=”http://your blog adress/search/label/label name”>Button text</a>. You can also add the other additional buttons by entering this code on the same HTML/Java Script. Note: (1) your blog adress. Fill with your blog adress (url), for the example: http://www.blogticker.co.cc. (2) label name. The label name you entered nust be the same with the one you’ve set in the posting list (ex: http://www.blogticker.co.cc/search/label/widgets). (3) Button text. The text of the button that will be shown in your blog page (ex: button text “Widgets” below the header of this blog).
- Save the script
- View you blog to see the result.
If you have added some page labels, just go to the third step. We suggest you to place these buttons below the header. These buttons is cooler than the normal label, so why don’t you try it?
